Gloss Enamels are multi-surface, gloss, acrylic paints that boast a smooth, thick consistency. Multi-surface, opaque paint that adheres to glass, wood, papier mâché, plastic, resin, ceramics, and many other craft surfaces. Can be baked for a dishwasher-safe finish. Water-based. Soap and water clean-up How to use Gloss Enamels Shake well. Clean surface with alcohol. Apply 1-2 coats with a brush or sponge. Allow to cure 4 days. For a dishwasher-safe finish on oven-safe surfaces, place finished piece in a cool oven, set temperature to 325°F, (160°C) bake for 30 minutes, then cool with oven door partially open. Not for direct contact with food. Suitable for indoor or outdoor use. Cleans up with soap and water. Tips for Gloss Enamels Use a light touch, and try not to apply too much pressure with the tip of the brush. Pushing down too hard will cause the paint to wipe off the slippery surface of the glass. Instead, use a light touch and allow the paint to flow off the brush, creating a pool of colour. This allows you to create thicker, more solid coverage in one step. If you do need a second coat, make sure to let it dry completely first. Avoid overworking or re-stroking wet paint areas too much, or you will end up removing the paint from the glass. Get in and get out of the area. Use a hair dryer on a low setting to speed up the drying time if necessary. A fan can also be used. This can be especially helpful when working on cylinders or pieces with multiple sides. Keep paint away from food surfaces and the areas that will come in contact with your mouth as you don't want to ingest it. Always blot your brush on a paper towel to dry it after rinsing in water. You don't want excess water to remain in the brush while painting. All types of brushes can be used for glass painting, but can provide different results. Synthetic brushes tend to create visible brushstrokes. Soft, natural-hair brushes allow for more paint to be applied in one stroke, creating smoother coverage

Decoart dazzling metallic paints are a premium, all purpose, permanent metallic paints that adds an elegant shimmer to art, craft, and home decor projects. It's made with the brightest metallic flakes available and delivers excellent, opaque coverage. How to use dazzling metallic: Shake well before using. Apply one well brushed coat using a soft brush or sponge brush. Apply multiple coats when using more transparent colours. Allow to dry thoroughly before applying additional coats or varnishes. To use on fabric: Pre wash and dry fabric first, then apply generously with a soft brush. Dry 48 hours before washing gently in warm water using unscented, mild detergent. Hang to dry. Pearl colours may require second coat. If used on fabric with other acrylic paints that require heat setting, dazzling metallics will not be damaged by heat setting. The garment can be placed in a dryer briefly to remove wrinkles. Do not leave until garment is completely dried as the heat will dull the metallic finish. Provides a beautiful aged or modern crackled effect in one easy step. Apply as a topcoat over a dry painted surface. The thickness of the application can control the crackle effect. A thin to medium application will produce smaller cracks. A heavy application will create larger cracks. As One Step Crackle dries clear in 2 to 4 hours, cracks will appear. To make the crackle effect more prominent, antique the dry crackled surface with an acrylic paint colour. Simply paint on top of the dry crackled surface and immediately wipe off, leaving the colour in the cracks behind. How to use One Step Crackle Apply over a painted or sealed surface Do not overwork. Apply a generous coat and leave it alone to self-level and crackle. Do not force dry. We do not recommend using heat tools or hair dryers to effect dry time. Thin application will produce small crackled effects and a thick application will produce large ones. Cracks will appear as the application dries.
