    Gel Medium provides a translucent effect when mixed with acrylic colours. Being highly viscous the drying rate is much slower than other acrylic mediums. Its strong adhesiveness enables materials such as wood or paper to be applied to painting surfaces for collage.

    Like Gloss Medium, Gel Medium offers shine and can be applied thickly with a painting knife or brush, as with oil paintings. When using modelling paste blend it in a ratio of one part Gel Medium to two parts modelling paste to ensure an even texture that will be resistant to cracking.
